Standard

I CAN USE MEDIA, TECHNIQUES, AND PROCESSES FOR MAKING ART 

a. I can handle art materials responsibly

c. I can use varied media, styles, techniques, tools and technology

d. I can create art that conveys ideas and feelings

I CAN UNDERSTAND AND APPLY ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN

a. I can use the art elements and principles to communicate ideas and feelings

b. I can analyze the elements and principles of design

c. I can create original art using a variety of subject matter and imagery

STANDARDS BASED GRADING

Standards-based grading involves measuring students' proficiency on course objectives tied to the standards.

All lessons will include specific learning goals unique to each project. One goal will focus on techniques and/or the Elements and Principles of art, and one on the appropriate use of materials and media.
